A painting I created based on the detailed descriptions presented in a review of an artist's work, in this case Pat Steir, that was published in an art magazine. In making the painting, I tried to adhere strictly to the descriptions found in the text review, and avoided looking at any images that accompanied the review article. The originary review is presented with the work, as its caption or title.
